What is the process of Egg Donation?
The process begins by matching your menstrual cycle with your egg donor’s menstrual cycle. You will be instructed as to when to take medications, and begin taking blood tests and sonogram testing to observe your reaction to the medications. If your decision is to use frozen donor eggs, your doctor will provide you with a detailed schedule for treatment.
Egg retrieval is initiated 10-14 days after medications start. Embryo transfer transpires 3-5 days after, and a pregnancy test will be performed 7-11 days after embryo transfer.
